This is my first time to buy an Apple product and I have to admit I was really impressed with the Apple Airport Extreme 802.11N (5TH GEN). The simplicity of its set up is a great plus for me since I experienced a very quick, painless and stress-free set up using this device. You can save time and spare yourself from headaches as well.

But then, any wireless device can have easy set up features and that’s not really something new and different. But I was wrong, because when I started testing and using the device, I realized it was way, way better than other wireless internet devices. I was extremely impressed by its high performance level.

First, the speed is extremely faster than other devices and I experienced no problems with regards to connections. It works flawlessly and there’s not the slightest drop of connection.

Second, it delivers a very awesome coverage and the strongest signal. My sister usually complains that connection and internet speed is quite slow when she uses the internet in her room which is located on the third floor of our house. With this, she needs to come down in order to get good connection and faster speed. I have been suffering from slow internet speed with my previous internet modem and so I took the chance of using the Motorola SURFboard Gateway SBG6580 DOCSIS 3.0 Wireless Cable Modem. I just upgraded to the Motorola SB6121 Surfboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and was surprised to see its performance.

It’s the new version of the famous Motorola SB6120. I upgraded because my previous modem was not performing and an upgrade was inevitable. The product was priced reasonably and was also quiet easy to install.

To be honest, its raw speed blew me away. I was shocked to find the immense speed this gave my internet. This is probably one of the best cable modems out there. It is fast and easy to install which makes it perfect for my use.

It’s Smaller Than Most Other Modems

The first thing I noticed was that the device is smaller than most of the other modems available in the market. The package included an AC adapter and an Ethernet patch cable.

It also came with a diagram which showed how to quickly setup the device. This was quite handy as it showed me how to connect my device to the cables and the computer. It also has great Wi-Fi connectivity which allows me to browse through the internet, check my emails, download music as well as stream live videos without any glitches. The phone arrived about a month ago and so far my daughter and I have been very pleased with its performance. And just a short side note: the phone works very well with cell phone spy software, if you know what I mean…It has a sizeable touch screen, a little bigger than 3 inches which is sufficient for reading email, browsing the net, viewing pictures and watching videos. The QWERTY keyboard is also a nice feature and makes it easy for typing messages.

This Android 2.2 phone is easy to navigate around and the response of the touch screen is spot on and very responsive. That’s probably because of the 600 MHz processor.  It’s also part of T-mobile’s fast 3G network, Wi-Fi connectivity isn’t bad, next generation Bluetooth 3.0 is consistent and the onboard GPS comes in very handy whenever we go driving to different cities. It was one of those unexpected features I didn’t expect a prepaid phone to have. I was pleasantly surprised.

The battery supposedly has a stand by time of about 12 days. With minimal talk usage and internet browsing it lasted for about 3 days. Not bad considering my phone, which is also a Samsung (but not a prepaid Android), has to be charged every other day.

I decided to get my daughter the $50 for 400 minutes. This will give me a good idea of how much minutes she uses. The minutes are good for 90 days, so if it lasts that long I’m only paying a little over $20 each month. Not bad compared to most plans. The only downside is the texting; it’s 10 cents per text. Fortunately for me, she’s not a texting fiend. She never really did take a liking to it. Her excuse would be, “why would anyone take 3 minutes to send a text when they can just call and deliver that message in a few seconds?” I hope this mentality keeps up.

LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone Review

Of all the prepaid Android Phones available, I’d have to say that the LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone is the best of them all. I’ve had two previous ones before, but the LG is in every way much superior. I got this phone two months ago when my old one started to go defective and would no longer charge its battery. Come to find out it was the charger that was the problem and not the battery. I could’ve just bought another charger but it was about time for an upgrade.

I saw an ad for the LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone that featured its really affordable plans and that’s what got me interested. First off, the phone is very affordable. I got mine for under $100 and it’s worth every penny. Their cheapest plan was $35 a month and that included 300 talk minutes and unlimited internet, email and texting. This is really awesome because I hardly use the phone to talk, but I do text a lot. Some other prepaid plans don’t even have unlimited text and expect you to pay outrages rates like 10 or 20 cents a text. I average about 300 texts a month, which would be like $60 a month just on text. Virgin mobile offers that and more for just half the price. That was one of the big factors for me, a cheap monthly plan.

Secondly, the phone itself is great. It has so many features and functions that I’ve yet to familiarize myself with all of them. You can even install cell phone spy software…. just in case you want to give it to your teenage daughter…I like the design of the phone. It’s very simple but still attractive. The touch screen is 480 X 320 pixels display which makes taking pictures, viewing videos, browsing the internet and navigating through the phone so easy. It’s very bright and crisp. The fact that’s it’s an Android 2.2 means I have all the available apps I could need at my fingertips. Google Map Navigation Is A Feature I Really Like!

I also like the Google Map navigation that gives you turn by turn guidance. It’s really easy to use as well. All you have to say is “navigate to Mcdonald” or whatever and it’ll start taking you on your way. The good thing about this navigation system is that the maps are from Google Map, so you know the routes and directions are updated.

Cons Of LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone

So far there’s not one negative thing I can say about the LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone. Other great features of this phone would be:

•    Voice Actions by Google. This allows you to browse the web, navigate, and play music just by speaking.
•    Wi-Fi Networking. I can easily connect to the internet wherever Wi-Fi is available (which is almost anywhere).
•    Airplane mode. Even though the phone is not connected I can still listen to music.
